Leto Lama is a third-generation Greek artist based in London. She is a painter and designer with a focus on figurative abstract art. Leto comes from a family with deep artistic history; both mother and grandmother (respectively Eva Persaki and Gianna Persaki) are well-known Greek painters and Fine art teachers. Her grandmother was one of the first abstract women artists in Europe as well as a student of renowned artists Fernand Leger and Andre Lhote.
Leto initiated her drawing and painting education at the age of 5, under the academic instruction of her direct family. Inspired by daily thoughts, travelling and real-life situations while influenced by both historical and modern art she minimizes the details of her objects to create simplified and expressive figurative art.
A strong artistic family, coupled with her Greek and Asian origins as her father is from Tibet has provided her with a unique style inspired by the West and the East.
Her works can be found in private collections London, USA, Greece, Hong Kong, France, Belgium, China, Switzerland.
